Super Sweet 12th Birthday Party

Recently I styled the sweetest 12th birthday party. I asked the birthday girl to pick a color theme from my 12th birthday photo props, then I created a coordinating party.

Secretly I was thrilled with the colors she chose. I just love them.

The guest list was small so we combined the elements into one area. This is also a great tip when working in a small space.

First, I created the photo booth backdrop. The dessert table was placed in front of the backdrop at the beginning of the party. We simply moved the table when we wanted to use the space as a photo booth. Dual purpose backdrop = win, win.

DECORATIONS

The majority of the decorations were multi-purpose, creating a budget friendly event.

The photo booth backdrop doubled as the backer for the dessert table. I used the candy & snacks not only as food, but as table decor. The photo booth props were also placed on the table as decor.

A light box is always fun – especially when it’s surrounded by lollipops and animal cookies.

SO MANY SWEET THINGS

Tiered cake stand with cupcakes, chocolate balls, and chocolate covered pretzels. The party was around Valentine’s Day, so I found these cute heart shaped pretzels at a local store.

The box corralling the pretzels is a free printable, as are the cupcake wrappers.

Party popcorn! Popcorn covered in chocolate, with sprinkles and m&m’s added for good measure – and to make it fun & pretty.

Hershey’s kisses. Since it was close to Valentine’s Day I found bags of seasonal kisses with foil colors that matched this party perfectly.

I used a few different colored candy stickers for this event. It’s totally awesome to mix & match the printables.

PHOTO BOOTH PROPS, OF COURSE

I printed a photo booth sign, then mounted it on purple cardstock and glued pink glitter around the edges. It was placed near the photo booth props.
