Margaritas are, for good reason, a popular cocktail. Let’s combine that tangy, sweet goodness into a jello shot!
These Classic Margarita Jello Shots are made by replacing the cold water called for in the instructions on the jello box with alcohol and lime juice.
Margarita Jello Shot Recipe How To
WHAT YOU NEED
• 2 1/4 cups Water
• 1 – 6oz box Lime Jello
• 2 Tablespoons Lime Juice
• 1 cup Silver Tequila
• 1/3 cup Cointreau (could also use triple sec)
• 10 – 4oz cups
• optional: salt & lime for garnish
WHAT TO DO
 boil WATER
Pour water into saucepan. Place on stove over high heat. Bring to boil.
 add JELLO
Once the water is boiling, turn off the heat and pour in contents from the jello packet.
 STIR until dissolved
Using a fork or whisk, stir jello until it is dissolved – usually about a minute.
 add LIME JUICE
Let cool just slightly, then pour lime juice into jello mixture.
 add TEQUILA
Next, add silver Tequila to jello.
 add COINTREAU
Add orange liqueur to jello mix. Stir.
 REFRIGERATE until firm and ready to serve
Place jello shots in the fridge until they are firm and you are ready to serve.
 add GARNISH
If you really want to go for the margarita feel, salt the rim of the cup and slide on a lime wedge.
Instead of lime jello, feel free to use unflavored gelatin. The flavors then come strictly from your alcohol and juice choices. I prefer the added flavor of the jello.
