Feeling patriotic?!

These red, white, and blue jello shots look and taste amazing!

Due to the tipped layers, they are a bit more labor intensive than my typical jello shots. But, totally worth it for any celebration.

WHAT YOU NEED

• 30 2oz cups

LAYER 1
• 1 1/2 cups Water
• 1 large box Cherry Jello
• 1 1/2 cups Vanilla Vodka

LAYER 2
• 1 cup Water
• 2 packs unflavored Gelatin
• 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
• 1/4 cup Coconut Creme
• 1/4 cup Malibu Rum
• Splash Almond Extract (optional)

LAYER 3
• 1 1/2 cups Water
• 1 large box Berry Blue Jello
• 1 cup Malibu Rum
• 1/2 cup Blue Curacao Liqueur

WHAT TO DO

LAYER 1

[1] boil WATER
Pour 1 1/2 cups water into saucepan. Place on stove over high heat. Bring to boil.

[2] add JELLO
Once the water is boiling, turn off the heat and pour in contents from the jello packet.

[3] STIR until dissolved
Using a fork or whisk, stir jello until it is dissolved – usually about a minute.

[4] add Vanilla Vodka
Let cool just slightly, then pour in 1 1/2 cups of Vanilla Vodka.

[5] POUR into cups

Pour mixture into small cups, filling about half full. I used 30 2 oz cups.
Place the cups on a cake pan or cookie sheet.

[6] REFRIGERATE, at a slant, until firm

To achieve the tipsy look: set a bowl under pan with jello shots.
Place jello shots in the fridge until jello is firm – about 2 hours.

2 HOURS LATER… REMOVE JELLO FROM FRIDGE
The cups will look awesome and tipsy.

LAYER 2

[7] dissolve GELATIN
Pour 1/4 cup water in bowl. Sprinkle gelatin on water. Let stand 1 minute.

[8] boil WATER
Pour 3/4 cups water into saucepan. Place on stove over high heat. Bring to boil. Add boiling water to gelatin bowl. Stir about 5 minutes.

[9] combine CREAM INGREDIENTS
Combine 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/4 cup coconut creme, 1/4 cup Malibu rum, and a splash of almond extract (or clear vanilla extract).

[10] combine GELATIN & CREAM MIXTURE
Pour the cream mixture into the gelatin. Stir together.

[11] POUR into cups

Pour mixture into cups, making sure to leave room for the third layer.

[12] REFRIGERATE, at a slant, until firm
Place jello back in the fridge at a slant for about 2 hours.

2 HOURS LATER… REMOVE JELLO FROM FRIDGE

LAYER 3

[13] REPEAT steps 1-3
Pour 1 1/2 cups water into saucepan. Place on stove over high heat. Bring to boil. Once the water is boiling, turn off the heat and pour in contents from the berry blue jello packet. Using a fork or whisk, stir jello until it is dissolved – usually about a minute.

[14] add MALIBU RUM
Let cool just slightly, then pour in 1 cup of Malibu Rum.

[15] add BLUE CURACAO
Next, add 1/2 cup of Blue Curacao. Stir

[16] POUR into cups

Pour jello mixture into cups, on top of the white layer. Fill to top of container.
*Note: Depending on your previous layers, you might have a little extra blue jello. No biggie; just make blue only jello shots. Or, even better – use them in the small cups for jello shot jenga.

[17] REFRIGERATE until firm
Place tray of jello in fridge, this time sitting flat. Refrigerate until jello is firm.
