Spooktacular Forest Staged Set
Happy Hauntings!
Being located in the Pacific Northwest, the weather doesn’t always cooperate with taking Halloween photos in an outdoor setting. And so, the Spooktacular Forest was created… inside.
SUPPLIES
- Forest Photo Backdrop
- Photo Backdrop Support
- Paper Mache Tree
- Green Faux Fur
- Moss, real or faux
- Plants, real or faux
SET UP
BACKDROP – Hang a forest backdrop on a support.
FLOOR – Use green faux fur as the forest floor. If you prefer a more realistic setting, muss up that faux fur by stomping on it in the dirt and/or use green and brown spray paint. After dirtying it up, lay it on the ground in front of your forest backdrop.

TREE – Place paper mache tree off to one side of the backdrop.

NATURAL ELEMENTS – Place the moss, plants, and other natural elements, such as pinecones or rocks, on your forest floor. Pay special attention to the base of your tree and space where the backdrop and faux fur come together. Cover any unsightly areas with greenery. To add more dimension to my photos, I also hung a couple faux branches on the wall.

ENJOY!

Get creative and have a blast with this spooky theme! I’d love to see your interpretation.
