Photo Booth Backdrop – turquoise, purple, and pink
Looking for a fun photo booth backdrop?! This idea is beautiful and can fit most any budget. My color scheme was turquoise, purple, and pink. But, this backdrop would look just as lovely in any color scheme.
SUPPLIES
This is the list of supplies I used, but really the supply list has endless possibilities. Pick and choose what works best for your event. Not every item on the list is necessary. Also, including whatever you have in your own party stash is encouraged.

HOW TO
This backdrop is essentially a wall with curtains and decor.
To start, you need a wall. This could be an actual wall. Or, like mine, it could be a photo backdrop pretending to be a wall.
I attached a diy foam decoration using the birthday girl’s age to the wall.
My backdrop was about 7′ tall. So, I cut the table roll about 9.5 feet long to make sure the curtains would touch the floor when I pulled them back.
To attach the curtains to the curtain rod/pvc pipe, I simply pulled the top curtain edge around the pipe and taped it in place. The taped side was the backside and faced the wall.
Next I hung the curtain rod with the vinyl curtains. For me, this was placing the ends of the pvc pipe on boxes on top of bookshelves that were on both sides of the backdrop. Another option could be pulling a rope through the pipe and attaching the rope to the wall.
If you pulled the curtains out further from the wall and had a way to get behind them, this scene could easily be transformed into a stage for photos or karaoke or many other party activities.
I purchased one fabric window scarf, which was perfectly long enough to create the illusion of two curtains. I didn’t get fancy here. I literally hung the scarf to the pipe any way I could, then attached it to the pipe with masking tape.
I chose to use both the table roll and window scarf to create my curtains. It was just my preference at the time. I preferred the overall look of the scarf, but didn’t love how sheer it was. The table roll created a less see-through look. Obviously using one of these options, as opposed to both, would work just as well.
This next step was my way of hiding the eye sore at the top of the curtain rod. I tied about 20 balloons to a string. Then attached the string to the pvc pipe holding the curtains. To keep the balloons from drooping, I also attached extra pieces of strings to the balloon string and pulled those strings up to and attached them to the ceiling.
I used blinged out mesh ribbon as ties to hold back the curtains. Then added decor to jazz it up even more.
The finished backdrop is ready for party time!
12th birthday photo props were used with this backdrop.
In full disclosure – I totally set up the dessert table in front of the backdrop, then swapped it out when we needed the area as our photo booth.
Enjoy!
