Nautical Jello Cup Recipe and Printable

Set Sail! ⛵

One summer we enjoyed a week on a houseboat. I spent most of my time floating in the lake, trying to spend as little time in the kitchen as possible. However, I did make a couple fun treats including these Jello Sailboats.

They are not difficult to create and make jello even more fun.

WHAT YOU NEED

• 2 1/4 cups Water
• 1 – 6oz box Berry Blue Jello
• 1 1/2 cup Water (or other liquid such as juice or alcohol)
• Swedish Fish
• Whipped Cream
• Mandarin Oranges
• 10 – 4oz cups
• 10 – 4″ skewers (Can’t find 4″ skewers? Use regular ones and break them in half.)

WHAT TO DO

[1] boil WATER
Pour 2 1/4 cups water into saucepan. Place on stove over high heat. Bring to boil.

[2] add JELLO
Once the water is boiling, turn off the heat and pour in contents from the jello packet.

[3] STIR until dissolved
Using a fork or whisk, stir jello until it is dissolved – usually about a minute.

[4] add WATER (or other liquid)
Pour water, juice, or alcohol into jello. Mix.

[5] POUR into cups
Pour mixture into cups.

[6] REFRIGERATE
Let jello set just long enough to cool slightly, then place one Swedish fish in each jello cup.

Place jello cups back in the fridge until they are firm and you are ready to serve.

[7] print & cut SAILS
While the jello is setting, use this time to print and cut the sails. Use a hole punch to create holes for skewer to slide through.

[8] add GARNISH
After jello sets completely spray a dollop of whipped cream on top & place one mandarin segment in the whipped cream. Place skewer with sail through the mandarin and into the jello.
