DIY Oktoberfest Photo Backdrop

Willkommen to the Photo Booth!

Hosting an Oktoberfest event? Need to stay on a budget? This DIY Oktoberfest photo backdrop adds a lot of fun to the festivities and costs very little, allowing you to splurge on other party essentials. This is a simple display with lots of possibilities.

SUPPLIES

+ Photo backdrop support
+ Wall or colored backdrop
+ Willkommen and Biergarten printable banners
+ German flag printable pennants
+ Barrel – real or cardboard
+ Bavarian flag themed table covering
+ Vase with flowers

HOW TO

WALL – Use what you have as the background. I happened to have an orange wall available, so I used that. My second choice was going to be a blue photo backdrop. A wood wall would fit the theme nicely or a natural green space.

BANNERS – I used the banners I created. But, there are a lot of other banners out there that don’t require printing and assembling.

PENNANTS – I used the pennants available on this site. There are also similar ones available to purchase online and at local stores.

BARREL – Since I didn’t have a barrel available, I made one. A small round table could also work. Or, a bale of hay.

MISC – There are a number of things that could go on top of the barrel. I chose flowers. A growler or beer stein would be fun. An accordian at the base of the barrel would be amazing.
