The Friday Freebie featured today is a parrot mask with a 3 dimensional beak.
+ Print the 2 page PDF (preferably on white card stock)
+ Cut out the mask, including eye holes
+ Cut out the beak. Fold on the dotted lines. Cut on the solid lines. Pull the piece below the cut line slightly above the cut line. The section of the cut closest to the middle stays put. You are only pulling up the outside edge. This will cover a small triangle shape on the bottom layer. Adhere in place. Repeat on all 4 solid lines.
+ Attach prop stick, ribbon, or elastic to parrot mask
Assembling the Beak
With scissors and tape you can use these reference photos to help assemble the beak. The beak is to be slightly rounded, with the tip pointed down.
The instructions are a bit confusing, so hopefully some photos help with figuring it out.
To wear the mask you can attach it to a prop handle. Another option is to poke small holes on both the left & right sides of the mask then tie on ribbon or elastic.
